2017 Graduation Ceremony & Reception

Friday, June 16, 2017, 2:00 p.m.
University of Nebraska–Lincoln
University City Union | Ballroom, second floor
(15th & S streets)

1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.
Graduates Arrive & Prepare for Ceremony
Graduates may dress in their cap and gown in the Colonial B room. Families and friends of the graduates may congregate in the Ballroom prior to the ceremony.

2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Ceremony & Reception
The ceremony will start at 2:00 p.m. with a cake and punch reception following. Graduates are invited to share a few words with those in attendance during the ceremony. Pre-planning a few words for this portion of the ceremony is recommended, but participation is optional.

Who Can Participate in the Graduation Ceremony

Graduates who complete their high school diploma requirements between July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017, are eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. Students who are enrolled in their final 10 credits and are making significant progress may also participate. Eligible graduates will receive an invitation from UNHS. If you have questions regarding ceremony eligibility, please e-mail UNHS Advising.

Complete by May 31
  1. Submit the Graduation Clearance Form
  2. RSVP
  3. Submit the Graduate Biography
  4. Order cap and gown from CB Graduation Announcements online or by phone (800) 433-0296
Make travel plans


A photographer will be on hand for individual, group and family photos during the reception. A link to an online client gallery where students and families can purchase photos should be available 3-5 days after the graduation ceremony. Additional details will be provided.
