A Benefit to Students in Nebraska & Around the World

Photos of UNHS students in a collage format

As a non-profit program, the University of Nebraska High School (UNHS) strives to keep costs as low as possible for students and their families. However, despite our relatively low tuition prices, UNHS is still financially out of reach for many deserving students. While UNHS – like most other organizations – is affected by rising costs and inflation, it is central to our mission to keep pricing as affordable as possible for students and their families.

With your generous support, we can continue to align with our mission and serve as many students as possible, both in Nebraska and around the world.

Giving to the University of Nebraska High School is done through the University of Nebraska Foundation, making gifts tax deductible as provided in the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts support student scholarships which are key to ensuring students everywhere can access the quality flexible courses they need to complete their education. To support UNHS students, please visit our page at the University of Nebraska Foundation.

Serving Students With a Variety of Life Situations

Student Athletes

Many athletes must engage in extensive travel and long stays for training and competitions. This can be a significant financial burden on families, not to mention how difficult it can be to continue attending a brick-and-mortar school when travel is a big part of your life. Having the cost of UNHS tuition covered is a great benefit and alleviates both attendance concerns and financial pressure on these students and families.

International Students

Many students from all over the world enroll in UNHS courses and in some cases from geographic locations experiencing educational uncertainty, civil unrest, and financial crises. These students desire to further their education to make a better life for themselves but they often need financial assistance to do so. Financial support can help these students achieve their dreams and improve outcomes for themselves and their families.

Students Experiencing Medical Hardship

Life is unpredictable. Some students come to us with sudden or chronic medical conditions that restrict or prevent them from attending school in person. Expensive hospital stays and other medical bills are a financial strain for many families. Financial assistance to help pay for UNHS tuition and course materials is desperately needed, and greatly appreciated, by many of these hardworking yet struggling families.

Students With Mental Health Challenges

High school can be a tough time for many students – not only is it challenging academically but also socially and emotionally. Anxiety, bullying, and other factors can make it difficult for students to function well in high school. Many students discover that the anywhere, anytime nature of UNHS courses allows them to reduce some of the outside stressors of high school and focus more on their coursework. Your financial assistance can help these students thrive in an environment that works for them.
