Program Overview

The University of Nebraska has again offered scholarships for online courses through the Nebraska Virtual Scholars program. In support of Nebraska high schools, this year 150 scholarships were made available for University of Nebraska High School courses.

Thank you to all applicants. Scholarships will be awarded in mid-October.

How To Use The Scholarships

UNHS works with high school administrators to provide solutions to academic and staffing challenges. With these scholarships, schools can:
  • Provide additional course offerings
  • Keep students on the path to graduation
  • Accelerate students
  • Address teacher shortages
  • Solve budget constraints
 Details
  • Each scholarship includes free tuition and materials for a .5 credit UNHS course.
  • All Nebraska high schools are eligible.
  • Scholarships will be awarded with an emphasis on meeting the needs of rural and/or underserved student populations.
  • Applications will be accepted for fall, spring and summer enrollment.
  • UNHS staff are available to provide support and consultation.
