What Accreditation Means
As a fully accredited high school, UNHS follows best practices in distance education. To be accredited a school must meet stringent standards in the areas of:

- Diploma granting
These standards ensure a high level of quality in the education students receive. Credits can also be easily transferred
from one accredited school to another accredited school.

Tier 1 Military Status
For high school students who are interested in serving in the United States Military, please note that the University of Nebraska High School diploma is considered Tier 1 by the U.S. Military and given the same priority as a traditional high school diploma. Students considering earning their high school diploma online should remain in contact with their recruiter to ensure they meet the preferred qualifications.
