Rigorous Curriculum Meets National Standards

UNHS online high school courses are carefully developed to create a high-quality, rigorous education. Courses meet the national academic content standards and Nebraska state academic standards for all core subject matter areas—English, mathematics, science and social studies.

Courses are evaluated annually and updated on a regular basis to reflect changes in learning outcomes, standards and world views. New courses are added constantly to provide students with relevant learning experiences.

UNHS' core and AP courses are approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. To view the list, visit the NCAA and use our code 281316. All of UNHS' Advanced Placement® courses have also received audit approval from College Board. To view our approved AP courses, please visit College Board's AP Course Ledger and use UNHS code 281316 in the Quick Search field.

UNHS has also chosen to meet, and in many cases exceed, iNACOL National Standards of Quality for Online Courses.

With students from all 50 United States and more than 100 countries, courses are designed to reflect the realization that students come from many different countries, ethnic backgrounds and cultures. Instructional materials emphasize a global approach to content and activities, particularly relevant in our world today.

Parents Are Talking
"I'm very grateful for the UNHS program. To have my children at home has been a gift to my heart that I couldn't begin to describe. UNHS has also given them the challenge and acquired discipline to succeed in college, and this will carry into the foundation for their adult lives."
