The University of Nebraska High School offers a wide range of courses, providing students options to meet their individual goals as they work toward UNHS graduation requirements. Students may choose a path that prepares them for vocational or technical training, military service, or other alternatives to college or university. Others may choose to prepare for college or university. Diploma students should work with UNHS academic advisers to design the appropriate plan of study for their needs.

General Studies Plan

Students planning to pursue vocational or technical training, employment, military service, career-focused programs such as two-year degrees or certifications, or other alternatives to college or university may choose a general studies plan. This option provides flexible course selections to meet graduation requirements while supporting a more personalized educational experience.

College Preparatory Plan

Students wanting to continue their education at a college or university should consider enrolling in more rigorous courses to meet the admissions requirements at their intended school. Due to the varied requirements of colleges and universities, it is the student's responsibility to visit with their high school counselor, the college/university's admissions website, or other resources to confirm the courses needed to fulfill admission requirements.
