The University of Nebraska High School had 22 applications submitted for the K.O. Broady Scholarship Fund during the 2023-2024 school year. UNHS awards scholarships each year to deserving students – whether currently enrolled with UNHS or not – who are interested in furthering their education through UNHS. The Broady Scholarship Fund has provided over $59,000 to students since it began in honor of Dr. Broady in the early 1980’s.

Dr. Broady devoted his career to helping students and teachers in Nebraska as well as small rural schools and remote locations around the world. UNHS is pleased to continue administering this scholarship fund year after year to honor Dr. Broady’s legacy.

This year UNHS was able to select and award scholarship funds to nearly 90% of the students who applied. The 19 winning applicants represented the United States (Nebraska), Bangladesh, Sweden, and South Africa. Application requirements included three letters of recommendation and any non-UNHS high school transcript for each student.
