Saving and submitting your assignments online
WayCool allows you to submit evaluations, projects, and progress tests electronically and, in some instances, receive immediate grading on your work. To submit work, follow these steps:
MORE ON MAIL SUBMISSION:
At the time you enrolled in your course, you designated whether you would submit your work online or by mail. Mail submission is available only for print courses. You may not submit lesson via mail for online courses. If you chose to submit your work online, you may not submit assignments via mail except those that cannot be submitted online, such as some language and math assignments or sculptures, collages and other dimensional projects.
If you chose the mail submission option at the time of enrollment, you may choose to submit any of your work either online or by mail. Remember to complete a lesson wrapper (available in the "Forms" section) if you choose to submit your work by mail.
Viewing your grades and feedback
WayCool allows you to view grades on evaluations, projects and progress tests. Feedback on your score will also be reported, except on progress tests, in which case feedback will only be available from your proctor.
To view your grades and feedback:
You may download the following forms from WayCool: lesson wrappers, Change of Status and Personal Data Sheets (PDS).
Lesson Wrappers. Use lesson wrappers when you need to mail in an assessment via regular mail. Only if you opted to pay the "mail processing fee" at the time you enrolled should you mail assessments into the high school UNLESS the assessment you wish to submit cannot be submitted online (i.e., a sculpture, art project) as noted in the course content.
Change of Status. Fill out a Change of Status form if you need to update your mailing address or name or your proctor's name or address. It is essential that we have the most current information for both you and your proctor on file so that there is no delay in processing your assessments.
Personal Data Sheets. Personal Data Sheets are useful for members of the high school staff to get to know you. They are not required as part of your enrollment. The high school uses Personal Data Sheets to gather information about students and their reasons for enrolling in courses from the University of Nebraska High School. Oftentimes, the high school newsletter will highlight students from around the globe; these stories are often gleaned from information in a student's PDS.
