The University of Nebraska High School had 42 applications submitted for the K.O. Broady Scholarship fund during the 2024-2025 school year. UNHS has been fortunate to be able to award scholarships annually to eligible and deserving students interested in furthering their education through UNHS. The Broady Scholarship Fund has provided over $67,000 to students since its establishment in honor of Dr. Broady in the early 1980s.
Dr. Broady was a University of Nebraska educator for almost 40 years. He committed his career to helping students and teachers in Nebraska as well as rural schools and remote locations around the world.
UNHS had a broad geographical representation of Broady applications this year and was able to select and award scholarship funds to nearly 25% of students who applied. The 10 winning applicants represent the United States of America (Nebraska and Tennessee), Italy, Japan, Thailand, Bangladesh, and South Africa. Application requirements included three letters of recommendation and any non-UNHS high school transcript for each student.
